Version 1.1 of Magento is finally available, among the major improvements include:
- The response time was improved (approximately 40%)
- An API has been developed to facilitate the integration of Magento with third party software
- It is possible to create virtual products (without stocks or delivery)
- It is possible to create custom products from a set of choices (eg creation of a custom computer from a variety of options)
- The management of European and Canadian taxes has been improved
