Having a shop performance, also requires a display that stands out from others. This argument is even more valid in the field of e-commerce . Also if you use a turnkey system as Prestashop or Magento and you do not change your theme, you might get the same as other e-tailers!

We will show you how to use a different theme in Prestashop than the default in a matter of minutes! In fact, this operation proves to be very simple. So why not get started?

The theme that we used is that proposed by a blogger friend: Matthew Perinet, you can download it on his blog or from our servers .

Installing add-ons:

The first thing to check before installing a theme is that you have well-ons. Indeed, most in need. The theme that we want to install requires two.

If your facility is clean and Prestashop you have not changed the modules it, then you can skip this step, the modules needed for this theme is installed by default in Prestashop.

Login to your party administrator, go to the Module tab, then look for the following two modules located in the "Blocks":
Logo block payment
Block advertising

Verify that each of these modules is installed properly (presence of a logo to positive green lines).

If this is not the case click on "install" to those above (you can also check both boxes to lines and then click on "install selection" at the bottom of the page.
If the operation was successful, you should get a message confirming successful installation of your modules.

If you do not find the earlier module in the specified page, you can download here.
Module 1
Module 2
Unzip (using a program like 7-zip for example) then these modules in the folder "modules" directory of your Prestashop, then repeat step 1.

Installing the theme:

If you have not already done so, download the theme .

Once it downloaded, simply unzip the archive (using a program like 7-zip for example) and place it in the folder "themes" of your installation Prestashop.

Activating the theme:

Go to your administration area of PrestaShop.

Go to the preferences tab, then in the sub-tab "Appearance".

In footnotes in the Themes tab, you should find a new theme "muriper" alongside the default of Prestashop.

Then simply tick the theme you want to use (here muriper) then click on "Save", right at the bottom of the page.

Then go to the client portion of your store, your theme should then be changed.

Summary for the installation of a theme:

Make sure you have all the modules required for the proper functioning of the latter, if this is not the case, download and install them.

Unpack your new theme in the folder "themes" of your installation and activate it.

Our team offers regular new themes in our shop . It can also handle the creation of your custom theme, please contact us .

The topic is older than one year. Meanwhile, Prestashop has changed its operation to the themes but not for installation.
You have two options: use a theme later, or enable the compatibility mode PrestaShop 1.1 in preferences.
