Want to put forward a range of products on your site?

Prestashop allows you to do with the use of scenes. As its name suggests, it will stage the images of your products, to redirect your next customer selected product.

For example (we will resume the stage came with Prestashop): You have multiple products in the same range. (Here several different players).
To highlight this range you want to call an image in a category.
Instead of a single image including the various players, you can add interactivity.
So the customer can click on each product image, which will send the product page of the player he has chosen!

How?

Handle scenes with Prestashop: you need several products listed in your catalog and a photo grouping these aforementioned products.
For our example we will use dummy items.

Scene

We use the images provided during installation of Prestashop, so you can recreate the scene. To start, go in the "Catalog >> Scenes".

Scene

Creating a new scene

Click again, and then enter a name for your new scene. (Here: "The iPod range"). Then choose the image used for the scene.

Scene

Once the range created, click on it.

Scene

Creation of a new interactive area

Now that we have the image, we will make it interactive. To be redirected to the page when you click on the iPod Touch (the player left most), we will make a selection around the object, leaving the left mouse button pressed and defining its contours.

Then simply enter the name of your product with the selection. A combo box will open and you can then choose your product.

Scene

(The case 'Thumbnail particular' allows you to load a thumbnail different from that generated by PrestaShop).

You then repeat the process of selection, as many times as you have products in your scene.

Stage display

Bottom of the page is under 'Categories'. Check the categories in which you want to display your scene.

In our case we chose "Ipods".

Here are the results:

you answer: It's normal, it is not possible to do so.
In this case, adjust your article at the beginning:
"To highlight the range you want to call an image to a category, or on the home page."
> Why specify 'or on the homepage, if it is not possible without a particular module?
And at the end: "At the bottom is the section 'Categories'. Check the categories in which you want to display your scene (Home for the index of the shop). ", Indicating that this is not possible for the host without an additional module.

I try to understand how to make a scene appear on the home page on version 1.4.4.1, which does not seem possible natively, contrary to what your article implies.
So I arrived on this page with the hope of a solution and I was very disappointed.
Too bad ...
